Ciondo is a business crafted honoring my childhood experiences in the forest of East Texas and my passions for art, nature, and home. I began carving in my mid 20s; picking up wood in East Texas forest, and trips overseas to Nigeria, Jamaica, Kenya, Thailand and on the Battle Field of Iraq during the War. It was always a habit to pick up a piece of wood from a location that I visited to savor the memories of the place and time spent there, even old fallen trees in the neighbor. These broken, mottled, old pieces of wood still had life, still had purpose, and even more, a face.
